You need a total % of about 230% of defense after you take out maxed artifacts and your lvl 15 3 slot. Your 2 4 6 slots will only get you to 189%, leaving a fair amount of defense left to get from substats. And with only you 3 and 5 left to get %def on the subs, it can be quite difficult. Farmed that for a couple days just to get slot 1, 2, 4 and 6 six-star determination defense runes. In the meantime I upgraded my defense tower to level 12. Now I upgraded my Tricarus last FRR and use only 3 det sets. Dm me if you need help with your Tricaru.If your limiting factor is time, not crystals, then B10 was better than Abyss - at least before the recent quality patch Minor drop improvements isn't worth it if you lack the rune quality to run it fast. If your runs take 2-3 times as long and the drops are 30% better - doesn't seem worth it. But let's see.

B10 is not necessary. You can farm a lower dungeon level until you have your tricaru on line. Artifacts are weird in that blue artifacts can often role to be better than legends. I haven't failed since getting my tricaru online, but before that every b10 team I built would have random fails.

here are the runes. take note Verde is currently runed for Team#2 (Tricaru). when he was in Teams#1 & #2, he was runed Vio Rev 180 SPD. he is no longer on Vio and he is also specifically runed thick now (>75k EHP) to survive dragon breath at <30% boss hp. This is not showing in the stats (just like fight runes, it only takes effect in a battle.) Determination vs guard runes. 8% def for whole team Vs Self def +15% The determination 8% def is affected to whole team meaning 3 icarus total get 24%. Compared to the guard rune, guard rune only benefits to the holder and it’s just 15%.

Only problem I see is when the boss hits and the gargoyle goes below 70% so he doesn’t transform anymore. Could be alleviated with a bit of tankiness. Statue form reduces incoming damage further by 30%. What’s really nice is it makes the rune requirements for this team much lower. Avg time is between 1:20 and 1:25.Tricaru is still used in necro b10 and punishers b10 so it isn’t a total loss to build tricaru. It’s just that after reloaded there is no point in min-maxing tricaru (ie. skill ups, runes). I suppose if you want to be a minimalist, you really just need 1-2 icaru and substitute with raoq or something. TLDR: yesGetting enough defense for your tricarus is not hard with guard sets and defense artifacts. Having a super high damage Verd to shorten run times is harder. However tricaru is consistent. The speed dot teams are hard to rune for 100% reliability. You'll need a super strong lushen and a +180 speed mellia. For an early player, abyssal floors will take way too long to do as you probably don't have the rune quality to do it fast (and there isn't *yet* a quick way to do it with a mechanic like dot). You'll progress way faster farming b10 using those 2 teams.You could actually make a similar team with red homie dot build. It's actually my fastest like around 30-40 seconds but it's inconsistent. It'll take 1-2 weeks of actively farming fire/light raid but so what?
