I am very interested in purchasing a Springfield XDm in .40, it comes in both a 3.8 and 4.5 inch slide and both of them have the same grip size and capacity. Has anybody heard of a replacement slide assembly being offered? I own an XDm .40 and have pondered the .40=>9mm conversion, but would be interested in a complete slide to avoid the reliability issues associated with the conversion.
