The weapon Arcane Adapters has got to be one of the silliest things to even call "mindless grind". DE changed how Steel Essence was earned from an actual afk-mindless grind with Khora to simply doing 5 SP Alerts that each reward 5 SE each with a chance for an Acolyte to drop ~4. One adapter only costs 15.

Builds tend to be personal and manifest from each players current selection of mods. It is challenging to provide a build for a new/mid-game player as it is impossible to gauge what mods you have, and the difficulty of obtaining what you don’t. The usage of Arcanes is end-game and they are not required for most gameplay.

The game is entirely pve, so there is no real “missed the last bus” problem here. You’re never ‘left behind’ to the point where you can’t ‘compete’ because the entire game is about building up your own arsenal and farming your own materials - you just happen to do that in a co-op group.
