I have found over the years that a size 2 or so Crayfish fly on a sink tip line where you hit the bank or structure, let the fly drop to the bottom, make a couple of hard quick strips and pause, let the fly sink back to the bottom, and repeat. An update to my original post and some more information. I fished the Dynamix 6 weight this weekend with a 250 grain sink tip line and it was a blast. We were hitting the banks with casts of 30-60 feet from a boat and it performed like a champ. You couldn't force the rod but with a nice relaxed stroke it easily got the job done.
