Yes, it just sends the same mono signal to both channels. When played back over a stereo system, the "image" should appear near dead center. Some aspects of the originals are great that the remasters dont have due to the effort to extract more detail in the new versions, and then again, FOR ME, the new World Wide Live benefits with the extra detail and have to say Love At First Sting sounds very nice as well as Blackout on the new anniv remasters..
Oddly enough, sometimes I forget that there were two pretty different versions of the great debut album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. I love the US cover art so much and associate it with Jimi so much, for instance, it's hard to think that wasn't the "true" original/intended cover (which is the black one of the UK).
