If you don't have a manual you can download one from the MEC website. You probably need to adjust the primer seating tube down. There is a small clamp with a hex head screw around the tube above the primer seating station. Loosen the screw and pull the tube down slightly, then re-tighten the hex head screw. Get a 20 ga. single-stage MEC 600 Jr. or a Sizemaster All you need is a "spacer" (like a penny or two) at the shell base for the last two stations, and adjust the pre-crimp die and the final crimp die downward for 2 1/2" and you will be set to go. (I have done this for 12 ga. 2 1/2" black powder loads, and it works fine.)

I had a few issues with my new one, and contacted MEC which was pretty much useless. Problem1 : Operating handle jammed in the up position. MEC said I didn't have it mounted on a bench.

GJB02. When I first started loading, my MEC 600 Jr. came with a 12 gauge "O" Bar. This dropped 18.5 gr of Red Dot and 11/8 oz. of shot. This was the standard load of the day. If you wanted a lighter load you bought a 16 gauge "2" bar. for 1 oz. of shot. It was way to long ago for me to remember just how much Red Dot the "2"bar dropped.Here is the website for MEC. If this is the tube style I think it is, it is a very early style feeder for a MEC 650. Who did you buy it from?? If they had it as a feeder for a 600 jr. you should be able to return it to them because of miss labeling. The only style feeder I know of that works on a 600 jr. is the one in the above post with the instruction sheet link. Steve
