Isx blowing coolant out overflow but not overheating.

Got a 16 plate 1.6 ASX when doing motorway speeds can loose a whole header tank after 60 miles, but lower speeds can vary amounts. No signs of leaks other than blowing coolant out overflow on header tank, changed header tank, changed thermostat, changed cam belt and water pump and done a test on head that was negative.I have a 1991 Subaru Legacy LS with 246000k on it. The vehicle have overheated on me twice over a period of one month. Each time a bunch of coolant leaked out through the overflow hose. After refilling the radiator and and the reservoir the car runs fine. The oil which I have changed about 650 km ago is clear/light brown. The oil is synthetic.Dec 11, 2012. #1. It isn't a Polaris and you shouldn't have to worry about the temp much. Scratches down in low snow, let it cool if the temp light comes on. The caps can leak, you probably have that fixed by bending the tabs a little. Sometimes cap wear out and will not hold the 15 lbs of pressure in the system anymore and puke coolant.
