Nov 4, 2023 · Anyone else having issues with the tether distance setting? Players can only go 180 m away before being stopped by the tether, regardless of what the setting is set to. I have like 240hrs playtime in ASA on my 4090 with an older driver to get it run smooth in max settings with frame generation ON. I had issues with later drivers and consistent crashes (every 5-10min crash). Now I need to have updated drivers in order to player other games than ASA and I wonder if they fixed this issue. Different biomes will act like out of tether distance. Just run a dedicated server and get rid of tether. when i do this i cant get back on to ark and i have try to go into files to open ark but notheing will work to open ark up. Look into the Ark Server Manager to help you run a server and play on the same machine.

Render distance is fubar (PS5) Ever since the update that was rolled out a few hours back the render distance has been abysmal, you can maybe render dinos about 50 feet in front of you, it's making high level Dino taming almost impossible.
