I have been with Ynab for 2 years now, and I search for alternatives every once in a while but like many in this sub, give up and stick with Ynab. I recently checked Actual Budget again, and found that it is excellent for my purposes (with some caveats). Pros: Budgeting works exactly like Ynab, i.e., the envelope method. A large part is ynab's appeal is that it's a budgeting app, not just a money tracking app. It forces you to make budget decisions instead of just showing you where the money is going. Simplifi.
