Sep 22, 2015 · The usual way to check the heater core is to turn on the heat and check the temperature of the hoses at the firewall after the engine reaches operating temperature. If the outlet side is not hot, there's either an air pocket in the heater core or the core is plugged. You can check the hoses by hand, or by using an infrared "gun" thermometer.
Posted January 21 (edited) So my 2013 Ford Edge has this issue that just started today. My Climate Control just turns on and off by itself and the buttons below the screen go dark. Sometimes it turns on and off rapidly like on and off every second. Heres a video i got of it happening. I have a 2017 base model, no touch screen, but my climate controls and radio controls don’t work at all, extreme heat from the defrost, I do have steering wheel controls working, but can’t adjust on main dash, radio comes on. There is one for 2015. but that's because part of the instrument panel wasn't working due to a software update. not the whole thing. my entire cluster was dead.
