Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.
IMO (having owned a P DUO and picked up a Prodigy this morning) the Staccato has better build quality. The frame and slide finish is superior, the slide to rail fitment is slightly better (slide racks more smoothly on the Staccato) and the Staccato trigger is slightly crisper and lighter.

Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.After shooting both…. Prodigys in my area have been going for 1350, which is at least 8-900 cheaper than the cheapest staccato. My suggestion is if you won't die from spending the extra $, then save up for a staccato. Anyway, many reviews i have read put the Stealth Arms Platypus on par (or better) than Staccato. A guy i shoot with weekly just got his yesterday and says its just as good as the Staccato’s he owns, (C2, CS and P). The kicker is the Platypus (the way i have it configured) is 800-1000 less than the C2.
