Get a 12-gauge brush and wrap some fine steel wool around it and chuck it in a power drill. Run it in the chamber for a minute. Now get a 12-gauge bore mop and oil it and add some Flitz to the mop.

My understanding is that the 11-48 and sportsman 48 are the same with the differents being only 3 rounds can be placed in the sportsman. Here's a link to the Rem 11-48 parts diagram. When shooting the shotgun I wipe a little oil with a soaked cleaning patch on the magazine tube.Let us know how you enjoy shooting the shotgun.
