A crappy torque convertor can make the best turbo seem sluggish to spool... but at 20psi I would expect a bit more power especially torque. Those heads could also be a bit small for that setup but plenty of factory LS heads are around 200cc ...

A bunch of people make billet wheels from stock up to a 68/94mm wheel and you can use gt37 (stock) and gt40 turbines which should be plenty big with twins.You could use a pair of much smaller turbos and reach your goals. One of my customers went a 6.89 at 3150 lbs with a pair of 80's on a 509 BBC with BB2 xtra heads. If you need the room you could go with the 76's and run really fast.
