I read the forum and replaced everything that I could find that would be causing the issue. Fan, radiator (went moshimoto), radiator tubes, thermostat (replaced with ripp), water pump, coolant, air filter, sc oil, engine oil. Doing maths, the engine oil will expand by about 0.3-0.4qt between room temp and running temp. Note: the difference between MIN/MAX on the dipstick is 1qt. Checking your oil at "operating temp + 5 mins" tells you the complete volume of the oil that the engine has when in operation.What also causes the JK/JKU's to run hot, especially the Pentastar, are the steel bumpers and winches we add on - this has a direct impact on the weight in front and they do run warmer. Test the O2 sensors, they can get old and slow to react. Typical O2 sensor service life is about 100,000-150,000 miles. Replace the coolant temperature sensor on the thermostat housing.

So new thermostat, new air temp sensor, new ECT sensor, new Mopar OAT coolant, and... fan still running like crazy during normal driving, and the dash temp gauge keeps climbing to near the 3/4 position.
