Sarco 1897 heat shield and bayonet lug. Trench gun!!!! I am pretty sure the heatshield makes the take down feature unavailable unless you remove the shield. I also would need to drill the endcap, or drill and tap. I think the shield aligns or attaches to a hole in the end cap. If you can't do this, you need the correct endcap.

I am having a problem getting a 1917 bayonet to mount on the replica 1897 heat shield lugs I ordered from Taylor LLC. Difficult figuring exactly why the bayonet will not go on the lugs. Some folks like these for Wild Bunch, because the extra weight helps keep the muzzle down. I don't care for it, so here it is!
