Wow people are still using podcasts! Yeah, dude! Actually, podcasts are one of the main reasons why I've stuck with the Zune. If I had switched to my phone for podcasts, I probably would have moved on to one of the newer DAP's. (For some reason, the iPod and Zune were the last DAP's to offer podcast syncing or support.

I personally never used a VM for Zunes, but I did make a Win 8.1 VM (I have the opposite issue of everyone here, I have XP and 7 machines, nothing above that) to sideload apps onto a Windows Phone I have, and after passing the USB control to the VM, it worked fine.The firmware will auto format this second partition as ~127GB max, even if your HDD is larger that that. However, the download is available online where people have stored it themselves.
