It first had problems with clutch, then front differential, so I sold it and purchased a Yamaha Viking EPS and I have had it nearly a year with no problems it shifts gears real good, and no problems with clutch and e wheel drive.John Deere Gator clutch problems. Noisy clutch. I have a 2013 825I that I bought new. It has 50 hrs on it now and has had 3 clutches counting the original. My dealer replaced the original clutch at 40 hrs. because it was getting hard to shift and jumping out of gear. Frames are welded poorly and the Briggs and Stratton motor is foreign. I wouldn't buy a gator myself and I work there.

Recently noticed some "slipping" when trying to accelerate from a stop and occasionally it is difficult to get in gear. Checked w Deere and they will cover under warranty. Major problems with my 550 S4. I only have 44 hours on my new 550 S4 and the transmission and the clutch both have had to be replaced!!! I have only had the gator since Oct.31 it's been in the shop for over a month of that time, over three weeks just for the transmission!
