It looks like your jumper to 12 volts is done correctly -- so if the other terminal of the coil is getting switched up and down it should provide spark.

Just prior, I had done a complete tune-up, new fluids, etc - the whole works. It started right up, ran for 15 minutes and quit. No spark to the plugs! Following the service manual tests, the coil must be bad.
