Personally if its your only shotgun and you enjoy shooting, I wouldnt buy either one of them.Charles Daly is known for its unique offerings, such as the triple barrel shotgun and its .410-bore AR-15 upper, so a 14-inch firearm with a bird’s head grip isn’t too far a stretch for them....BTW, the Miroku Charles Daly guns are very nice. Real good idea to have a bore gauge if shopping used. An original full choke 12 gauge a dime will not pass through the muzzle. Many older full guns have been opened up. The dime is a quick and dirty check. Don't ignore older O/U guns, the Charles Daly guns by Miroku are excellent, no parts around, but darned unlikely it will break.

I've been a shotgunner since a little kid but own only pumps (12 and 20 Wingmaster, 12 and 20 870 Express) or semi's (Model 58, Model 1100). I am interested in the Charles Daly's that CDNN has discounted (499 for the Diamond 2, 599 for the Diamond 3). All reports are that these are a nice shotgun for the money.

Exceptions are few and far between, and I assure you that the Charles Daly isn't one of those exceptions. For $280, you might get lucky and find a used Remington ...
