In the owners manual it tells how to check whether it is on or or by looking at the head unit display when putting the car in reverse. There it shows RAB on and the sound on. Hold down the RAB icon on the screen. It takes about 3-5 seconds to turn off. I seem to be having trouble locating that. On my Outback, the RAB icon is on the bottom left of the touch screen.
