Sep 12, 2016. #3. You are manually bypassing the Governor by "pressing that bar down". There is no way to 'correctly' bypass the governor with linkages. You MUST open up the motor and remove the inner governor. It is VERY easy to do. The reason you must is there is a PLASTIC gear inside that controls the governor.
