YES! If you are not happy with your guild, you should feel no obligation to stay. All the officers from my last guild agreed we had to leave because the GM was an absolute idiot. He wouldn't level (all the officers were 60, he was 55), he wouldn't pvp, his roleplay was atrocious. And he was an asshole to everyone.

Yes it is a case of having a spare guild after the server merge. So if the guild cannot move with my character, there is no reason to move to the new server. There is also no real reason why a guild that has only 1 player in it, not to be able to move. Yes this is of course down to the company and not anything to do with us players.

SWTOR (and BioWare) can't parse if you're gone because you quit the game or for a medical reason. So they have an automated system, if a leader's gone for too long, leadership passes elsewhere.
