There's also the birds and the bees mod which makes for more realistic reactions when it comes to family planning. Be aware that this does add lag to the game, especially with nraas story progression.

Sims 3 on Steam is a lot better!! Gameplay wise, it's about the same from what I understand. With the Steam version you don't need the EA App. :) You can play using a desktop icon and launch the game that way without having Steam open to start. And you can play offline if you desire.Since the forced installation of the EA-App, i can't play the Sims anymore. The reason is, that i don't have a 64bit system and the app is only 64bit.
