I've been trying to go as spoiler-free in my runs of ror2 as possible, but some of this stuff is just so obscure that it feels near impossible. Luckily, there's a pretty good page on the wiki for hints on where to find the artifact patterns for the portal, but Rex's unlock just sounds so obscure, and I have yet to find a guide that doesnt just spell it out explicitly.

Unique to REX, healing means more damage, as the best loadout is to take all the health costing skills. More healing means more Secondary spam. Rejuv rack, bungus/wungus, interstellar desk plant, titanic knurl, mired urn, monster tooth. Aegis is nice as effectively makes your total health pool larger, since you're always healing and self damaging.
