Whether or not the car is running, if the keys are in the ignition the car should not lock when pressing in the door pin.Is there a way to lock the doors with the motor running and then be able to use the fob to unlock it? I understand that there is a way to do it but then you have to manually unlock the door with flimsy little key that was not met for repeated use (will end up breaking). Also remote start not an option because it cuts off in 15 minutes. I have a dog I need to be able to leave heat/air on for.

I pull on the inside handle on the driver door TWICE and it opens. I close the driver door from the outside.
