The 20 gauge Nova is the only one that functioned flawlessy and it and came home in shooting condition. It went through about 2400 rounds in four days and got really hot repeatedly and still functioned.RemingtonII. I, too, cut my teeth on a Remington 870, and I like the fit of an 870, with an extension pad on the stock butt.However, there are some issues of which I think a person should be aware.A Remington butt stock has a length of pull of 14 inches. Posted July 30, 2010. The only advantage of the Super Nova is the interchangable butt stock. But, I don't believe Benelli makes one that is 1" shorter, which is the only one worth changing to. I also am not a fan of pistol grip shotguns. For me, the pistol grip slows down transitions.It feeds in smooth and ejects just as smooth. You expect Benelli to have a premium price point, but the SuperNova isn't a bank account-breaking shotgun. It seems to be in the same league as Remington's 870s and Mossberg's 590s.
