I have a new stator, new main board (brain). When you put a new battery in the ground psot gets so hot it will burn you if you touch it.2005 King Quad 700 (6000 miles/10,000 km) will not start in temperatures under 20F/-7C (it turns over and you can hear it firing). It will hard start from 20F- 40F when you add a little throttle while starting it. With the key off, and a multimeter inline, I have a 7 mA current draw. Maybe this is normal, but it seems to be enough to drain the battery to the point of no start within a few weeks.

2007 king quad 700 efi. New to the forum and new to having a suzuki but I picked on up yesterday for my son knowing that it had a problem. This wheeler was being drove one day then parked and turned off. He went out a couple of days later and it would not start. Anyway I ended up with it.

I fixed a similar sounding problem a few years ago on my 2007 King 700. The fix was (as found on this forum) to add an additional ground cable from the negative battery terminal to the frame. I could not believe it was that simple! It would usually start ok and idle for a while but after the engine was warm, it did not want to idle.
