So I go look under there and the rod is gone, the rod the connects the shift handle to the lever on the transfer case.
For the GMT800's, the transfer cases had a round tag with the specific model info on it. You probably will have better luck finding the specific case half you need by finding/figuring out the model number for your transfer case (for example, for the GMT800's, it was NP261, NP263HD, NP246 and more). Then google for that model number + parts.

Also, even if you were able to find a way to get that off, the torsion bar crossmember is in the way also and would have to be removed.
