The CD player in my out of warranty 2003 G35 sedan stopped working and simply displayed "CD ERROR FO" Radio worked fine but the CD changer would not play, eject, or accept CDs. The infinity dealer offered to send it in for refurbishment for between $1100 and $1800 including labor to remove and reinstall.

It's likely that the drive won't spin, a common failure for CD drives. If the drive is a necessity for you, then I'd swap out the entire unit if you can. Nothing short of taking the drive apart will fix your issue. The laser and motor need to be inspected.
