For those looking for a first carry piece but don’t want to splurge on a G19, this is a great option. It’s reliable, concealable, and easy to rack due to a lighter recoil spring. I had an slide QC issue years ago when the original LC 9 was introduced. Ruger CS sent me a new slide and prepaid mailing box to return the bad one. However, loaded it weighs close to 27 ounces, which is quite a bit heavier and some may feel it. But, the weight of the frame, slide, and barrel do contribute to the low recoil and stability so that just about makes up for it. Read the manual it'll tell you how to operate it properly.
