A short to ground is the more often found problem. There is nothing to do but investigate. Sure enuff it is and the problem ends up being the ecu is only firing one fuel injector.I verify this with a known good ecu from my friends RZR.

Mar 22, 2011 · It has a 2 wire harness leading to it. Unplug that harness and turn the key on. The fan should default to on (running). That is a safety feature to keep the engine from overheating if the thermistor goes bad or the harness comes unplugged. If the fan doesn't come on with that harness unplugged, the ECM is probably bad.

It seems to me that if the stator was going bad or completely failed, you would have battery charge problems, as the stator (alternator) is what charges and maintains the charge of the battery along with the voltage regulator. I doubt the stator. Likely the coil or CDI.

I swapped crank position sensors same resaults. I tested continuity from the injector wires to the ecm plug and that’s good.
