They say shoot them they will break in . I had to slide the rounds in one at a time by hand. You cannot put a mag in and let it slide forward .

The modern Kimber magazines are made by Checkmate. They are great magazines and work well in most everything. Try the magazines that came with the gun first, then buy more if they work for you. I think you need to watch out for Idiot Scratches to the frame as they will show more than other 1911's. You also have to watch the area aft of the ejection port for brass/copper marks, which can be removed with Hoppe's #9.
