The XDS was the smallest and most comfortable carry but I couldn’t hit anything and the backstrap dug into the web of my hand. If you are intent on the Glock in 45 cal as a carry piece, definitely go with the G30S. That small difference in the narrower slide is huge. The G30S weighs the same as my G19.

Bill, a few weeks ago I hit a gun show looking for a 30 Gen 3 and ended up with a used 30SF Gen 3. A friend from work has a 30S. We went to the range and we each shot two magazines from both the 30SF and 30S and I felt the recoil with Winchester White Box range ammo was a little more noticeable in the 30S I was a bit surprised 3 oz. was really much if any difference.

I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull. With all this talk about a Glock 36, I need to ask this question. I currently own a Glock 30SF.
