But you have a sac and a little blob that is your baby which means that they are there and they attached themselves to the right spot! By next ultrasound there should be a heartbeat that they can measure. 2.
Unfortunately, If the baby was measuring over 7 weeks, it would be well past the time where a heartbeat would have developed. My guess is the stories you’ve heard are for people who had their dates wrong and the baby was measuring significantly behind, too.
